Our Truffles

We produce the Eastern Australian Truffle which is the same as the famous French black truffle (Tuber melanosporum) from the Perigord region of France.

Our truffiere produces the highest quality truffles through impeccably managed soil quality as well as being located in an area where there are hot summers and cold winters and where frosts are the norm. Together these conditions create beautiful truffles the world over.

Our truffles are sold by class and weight - Extra Class, Class 1 and Class 2. This follows the same classing system recommended in the UN Standards Guide published through the Australian Truffle Growers Association. The variables assessed when classifying each truffle are aroma, shape, size, Gleba (flesh), colour and freedom from defects, crevices and pest damage.
